Here we have typical cafe that has good food is open 24/7 and pours a good drink here in Beyrouth. Here is the quick tour of my dinner tonight

Nothing goes better with a Chivas on the rocks than some carrot slices with some lemon juice and some variety of nuts. This is typical in all the bars when you order a drink.

Quick shot of the bar with my good friend Rafi's Daughter looking at me with the evil eye.

This was my salad I ordered it was a 4 kinds of goat cheese salad basicly some really good goat cheese coated in 4 different spices, sumac, zahtar, panko and herbs. I asked for dressing on the side which was honey balsamic. Salad had a nice amount of toasted walnuts as well. This salad was about 6 USD

Ladies and Gentlemen fire roasted eggplant dip. Just seem to like this at the table no matter what we are having.

This was my friends Malibu salad, mostly with mudrooms and corn she had it with oil and lemon dressing also on the side.

Tabbouleh Salad good presentation and was nice balance of all flavors

I like the presentation of the houmus with the spoon in it. It was also very good, pretty much you screw up the local food here and your out of business quick.

Ok ask away why do they have spring rolls on EVERY MENU?!! No idea but these were ok they needed some chili dipping sauce not the pure soy they came with. I used my honey balsamic and that did the trick.

This was a grilled chicken, coleslaw and potato wedge plate. The chicken was moist the sauce was cream and mustard based and was rich just what Andrea wanted...oh you get to meet her soon.

I have no idea how this guy got to our table but man can he smoke the hubbly bubbly! (it's my buddy Rafi and that is Mara on the left)

Here is Rafi's and Mara's daughter Andrea and I am adopted Uncle which I am delighted with. A few words about Andrea, she is 13, speaks: English, Romanian, Arabic and French. She does sports, Piano, ballet and arts, she knows how to clean fish, loves olives and eats the little birds with me at Manaha restaurant. She is also very bright, funny and has pretty good physical shape (she needs to stand up straight a little more).
If there ever was an example for kids in America it is her and I will be showing North America more of why kids like her are as bright as they are and why kids in America are suffering with diabetes, mood issues, overweight and think they world revolves around them. Thank you Andrea you are going to be inspiration and you don't even know it yet.
Love Uncle Benny
thats it folks!
