Here is the food that was served on a recent flight I took from Frankfurt Germany to Los Angeles. Now coach was $800usd one way and Business class was $2800 one way and no sleeper bed. There was a row available so I took coach and let me tell you when those wheels touch down and you here CHA CHING that you just saved $2ooo you are glad you flew coach. Really the food is up from $6 food to $12 food in biz class and that is about it. Figure what you can do with $2000 when it comes to food. How many people can you feed cooking at home, hundreds, think of all you can do with that money donate $500 to charity and spend $1500 on some really major meals with some friends for weeks. Now with that said here is what they served and it was not too bad. NOTE: I always bring my own food anyhow but sometimes there is some pretty good stuff.This was the first of two meal services on the flight.

Here is and overview of the meal left to right and down:

• Green Salad with Vinegarette of olive oil and white vinegar
  with herbs - was good greens dressing separate good two bites
• Caramel  Cheese Cake - was a very light cheese cake with a very fluffy graham cracker crust on the bottom
• Coffee Cup - coffee service comes half way through teh meal and the coffee is excellent with choice of raw sugar or sweetner and real cream
• Cheese wrapper - if you ever had laughing cow cheese triangles this is what it taste like
• Cutlery - real silverware, included wet nap, salt and pepper
• White Bun - standard fare
• Main course
  Curry chicken with rice, this was a very flavorful dish that has the rice perfectly cooked and the chicken breast very moist with a good amount of fat and spices to make every bite a truly tasty morsel of food. I know it sounds gimpy but this was about ten tablespoons of food tops but because it was so rich you were full afterwards and satisfied . This is also a stomach friendly meal for a plane. Can you imagine serving some Brussels sprouts dish with 300 people on a plane.

Second Meal Service 2 hours before landing in LAX:

This is the 2nd meal service that is provided about 1/12 to 2 hours before landing.  Its a litte more simple except for this giant size chocolate pudding or sorts that I did not touch as it frightened me. Here is the rundown left to right then down:

• Butter and Wheat  Bun
• Coffee mug
• Silverware with salt and pepper
• Giant sputnik size chocolate pudding - Enough to feed the row (something tells me the dessert service did not make it on the plane and this was last min substitute)
• Mains
  This was herb chicken breast with potato wedges and sauteed vegetables: What I wanted to do was put the entire tray between a bun and eat it and that would have been perfect. The chicken had a type of Zahtar on it and the potato wedges were nicley seasoned. No complaint other than it should be served sooner than last 2 hours of a 12 hour flight.

All in all Luthansa does a pretty good job of it all, thier flight attendants look like porn stars and the booze is free so on top of saving that $2000 by not sitting in biz class you can get pretty well fed and drinks in the back and make some new friends.
