No idea why I called them crab ragoons other than another restaurant has something similar but mine I like a little better. These are perfect for game day or sitting around drinking snack. Really easy to make if you pick up a pack of won ton skins. You can also use any cheese that you like for the center I went for goat cheese and cream cheese as it is not too runny and has a nice sharp taste next to the sweetness of the chili sauce. You can make up a ton of these for next to nothing and they taste great.

If you wanted to add REAL crab to the cheese mixture you can but there is no point as any freshness of real crab and flavor will be lost in the frying and the other flavors.

  • One knob grated ginger
  • Teaspoon sesame oil
  • Tablespoon of rice wine vinegar

Directions

Make the chili dipping sauce by combining all the ingredients into a pot bring to a simmer for 15 min then let cool. If you want it more like restaurant thickness you can add 1/2 teaspoon of cornstarch while it si still hot and stir until thick.

Blend the cheeses together and set aside.

Heat canola oil to 375 degrees in a deep fryer or pot.

Take one won ton skin and wet around the edges with water.

Now put ½ teaspoon of cheese in the middle and fold in half to make a little purse and push the air out of it like your making pot stickers.

Now fry until golden brown and serve with sweet chili sauce.

That’s it give it a try perfect for game day kids!
