How to BBQ a Chicken Breast Perfectly

Start by taking your chicken out of the fridge for at least 30 min to bring it to room temp this is an important step and will not create any bacteria in this time.
Coat the bone in chicken breast with vegetable oil and season with kosher salt and pepper liberally.
Have your grill heated as hot as it can get and put the chicken down skin side and leave for at least ten min until the skin starts to look and get crisp. Do not touch the chicken leave it be it will come away from the grill when its ready.
Turn the chicken over and leave for another 10 min and now using a meat thermometer put it in the thickest part of the breast and check the temp. Once it reaches 155-160 degrees it’s ready to take off the BBQ. Now onto a plate and cover with foil and let rest for at least ten min. This is the other important technic that will allow all the fat and juices to settle.
To serve cut the meat off the bone as you can see in my photos and slice it like a steak not from the sides like your parents would carve a turkey. This will be the most perfect moist and flavorful chicken breast you ever had.
