Why This Story Matters
InFusion began as a practical answer to an expensive restaurant idea: put the food on wheels, test it in public, and see whether people came.
They came. The photographs show a truck that was impossible to miss—orange, green, lit up at night—and crowds pressing toward its service window in Palm Springs. Benny remembers the first major event as proof and chaos arriving at exactly the same moment.
This chapter is about the distance between a business looking successful from the curb and what it asks of the people behind the window. Record 018 preserves the executive history. Here, Benny tells what the build, the rush, the strain, and the decision to walk away felt like.
A restaurant proposal became a brightly wrapped food truck, launched into crowds, private bookings, and regular Los Angeles service.
It proved the concept—and taught Benny that revenue and attention do not automatically make a business worth continuing.
As operations demanded more management and carried more human strain, Benny and Charlie chose to wind it down.
