1 Pistachio cookies from Ali Baba Sweets in Lebanon VS Starbucks
May 21
This sure beats what some people are having this morning at Starbucks, A large Cafe Mocha 480 calories and a Maple Scone 440 calories (total 920 calories). I think pretty much give you all the junk calories you need for the day. You can choose quality over quantity just look...
Brought these little morsels of nutty cookie love back from Lebanon. They are small about the size of my thumb and are just perfect with coffee. The craft that it takes to make these is outstanding and have never seen anything like this in American. The outside is this soft almost crumbly cookie paste. It has a slight sweet flavor but just enough to enhance the filling which is a moist pistachio and some other binder maybe honey. Two of these with coffee is the perfect bite and I am guessing around maybe 25-35 calories each and my Nespresso with a teaspoon of half and half about 40 calories. So about 90 calories (ok I had half a banana too) compared to 920 calories for the Starbucks option.....and they wonder why there is a health issue in this country.
