I finally got to taste Chef Stef's famous treats and I will tell you I was blown away by what I experienced. I am not a sweets guy especially in America where everything is way to sweet almost leaving no other taste so I was really loving what I got to experience.

I want to make it known that she did not give these to me, I ordered them on line and paid full price. She was kind enough to throw in a few extras but I think its important when you review something you go through the real experience of the purchase to mouth :)

When I opened my package I was greeted with a very professionally package product. The boxes were perfect to hold the products and there was a cute Chef Stef Candy card in each one and they were properly sealed with a product description sticker.

Let's Start with the "Shore Sh'Mores"

The graham cracker covered with the caramel toffee has a very rich after taste kind of like you had reverb on it. You bite into the crunchy treat, you then get hit with a little sweet then the deep rich toffee flavor starts to permeate your head and then the dark chocolate takes the lead. Keep chewing and those little marshmallows add a nice texture and another layer of flavor. These I just loved eating while watching Anthony Bourdain for some reason.

For her signature item "The Shmookies"!

This I was not expecting. Before I add Chef Stef's ingredients and description from her web site I did not look to see what was in them and in fact my first bite was at night and my place was very dark so I could not really see the Shmookies. My first bite I found myself getting hit with great quality dark chocolate then the experience started to unfold, there was some crunch which now brought on a slight peanut butter flavor, then I had a hint of oatmeal cookie and finally when it all melted together in my mouth forget it, you could not put you finger on exactly what everything was in there and at that point I didn't care. Here is the description and ingredients from her web site.

"Caramel and pecans pooled in a chocolate oatmeal cookie, topped with crushed peanut-butter-filled pretzel pieces, enrobed in dark chocolate."

Again not to sweet you really got to taste all the layers of flavor. I am savoring these one a day pretty much before bed so I can have me some sweet Shmookie dreams!

Thank you Chef Stef, your work is outstanding and well worth the price of admission. Be sure to check out Chef Stef Candy's full line of wonderful treats at her web site..
