Hotter Than Hell had been hired to bring arena-sized KISS spectacle to an arena football game at Denver's Pepsi Center. The assignment was brief: climb to a platform high above the floor, play three songs, and make the building feel like a rock concert.

Only after the man walked away did someone ask Benny why he had not requested an autograph. The stranger had been John Elway.
